This week was a building week. We had very few visual changes to the front end, but we did have some quiet successes.
An external beta tester went through our new onboarding flow, and while they did hit an error around the Invoice import from Stripe, everything else worked flawlessly! That made me happy. And that error did not appear in Slack despite our initial efforts to set up a Slack-Sentry integration, so we expanded our Slack integration to all environments. Before it was just the dev environment.
The major marketing development was enabling landing-page tracking through our signup form, including through the shared charts functionality. This is a huge part of our GTM plan, as we are attempting to create a virtuous circle of virality. Customers share their charts on social media, people view those charts and thus discover Turboboost, new companies sign up for Turboboost because of the share…and then repeat the process. And by tracking when this happens, we can reward the chart sharers with free upgrades to Pro.
Whether this actually works is another question! But that’s what we are trying to build.
Next week goal: release of our app to the general public. This will be a quiet release with no fanfare, because I’d like to further test everything the week following to make sure our new users have a great experience. Still, that’s a big deal, that anyone could signup for Turboboost and use it for free!
